My horse feels great, and I recently tested him again; the results were better than expected. I can feel that he’s progressing.
All aspects of horse training, such as physical training and jumping, are monitored. This gives us truly valuable objective information about the horse’s condition.
After my horse underwent a severe colic surgery, I needed expert advice to get him back into training. With daily monitoring, we were able to participate in competitions again after just three months, and eventually even compete in the Grand Prix. This success convinced me to continue using the heart rate monitor.
I started using the heart rate monitor almost a year ago because my horse was getting tired during shows. The fitness test highlighted the need to improve his condition. I adjusted my training accordingly, and even now, my trainer and I still use the heart rate monitor for this.
Using the heart rate monitor improves the welfare, strength, and fitness of the horses and helps to prevent injuries. It provided us with insights into factors that could be improved and helped us to structure the training more effectively.
Nowadays, I use the heart rate monitor with all my horses to prevent injuries and to optimize their physical and mental condition.

Watch the video on 'How to make a recording' to see in detail the steps required to make a correct heart rate recording of your activity.
To start measuring your horse on a daily basis with EI Potential and get analysis and feedback on a weekly basis, you need at home with your horse a heart rate sensor and a heart rate belt. Often the scientifically validated Polar Equine Belt for riding is used for this along with the Polar H10 sensor. Other Bluetooth sensors can also be used and/or Polar H10 sensor with other heart rate belts. We advice you at least to use equipment which is validated for its use for horses and use Bluetooth sensors with low-energy (BLE). The H7 sensor from Polar for example outdated and should be replaced by a H10 sensor for accurate recordings.
